Utah Legislature Passes $6,000 Grant for New Construction

Last Night the Utah State Legislation passed the new construction housing incentive that will essentially give buyers $6,000 in down-payment assistance when they purchase new construction homes they plan to live in.

The loan officer will request the funds as the loan is being processed.

The grant funds must be used within 30 days of request.

To qualify, the New Construction Home must have an occupancy permit.

Buyers must have an annual income of less than $75,000 if single or $150,000 if married.

First time buyers can qualify for this grant as well as the $8,000 federal tax credit.

Further details will be released from the state today. There is only enough money available for 1,600 buyers to receive this grant, so act quickly if you’re interested in buying a New Construction Home.
