The Salt Lake Real Estate market is clearly on the right path towards recovery. May was the best month for home sales in Salt Lake County in eight months. Inventory of existing real estate for sale is down, and at May’s home sales pace there is now just a little over 8 months of active real estate inventory.
During May, 948 residential Salt Lake County Homes were sold as reported by the WFRMLS. Home sales were up 13% compared with April. The average price of these homes was $262,862 and the median price was $225,000.
Currently there are 7693 listed homes for sale in Salt Lake County. This is about 1,000 less homes for sale than there were in September. The median price of Salt Lake Homes for Sale is $249,900 while the average price is $348,308.
