According to MLS home sales results, Home Sales in Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County have gone way down over the past six months. Vacant Homes are at an all time high, and there are many new owners entering foreclosure. Interest Rates are low, and  Salt Lake City Utah was named by Forbes as one of the best markets to buy real estate. There are currently 7,320 single family houses and condos for sale in Salt Lake County on the MLS. SLC has 1,955 houses listed. The average list price of MLS houses in SLC is $445,503 with a median list price at $338,403.  In February, the median price of homes sold was $225,000.

Salt Lake County has 205 duplexes listed on the MLS. The average price of these units $261,279, median price of $237,750. The average cost per unit for listed duplexes is $130,500.
