Facts are facts and sales statistics show reality. The Utah housing market as a whole is not in as good of shape as it was the last three years. With the exception of Cache Valley, home sales in 2008 are substantially down in Utah for the first portion of 2008. In addition, there is a huge surplus of new built, high end vacant homes on the market. These homes are in danger of some serious losses for the builders and investors who built them off of speculation.  With fears of recession, and many home buyers holding back, this price appreciation is coming to an end. The fact is, home prices appreciated too fast in many portions of Utah.  How bad will it be? What areas will be hurting? Only time will tell. To keep updated with the latest stats and trends in the Utah Housing Market Conditions for Cache, Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties, subscribe to my RSS feed.
